I have been part of the blogging world and not ready to give it up. Thus I will continue here or be striked on until I continue.

Dying by STUPIDITY wasn't listed?

Since my last post was on ways guys die I thought I would announce that tomorrow I might die. I for some unknown reason set up everything perfectly for this to happen. I would like to let everyone know that I am sorry for anything I have ever done to hurt them. I never meant to cause anyone pain or injury and have always tried to live my life helping others in some fashion either with support, a listening ear, noticing some small fact, encouraging, coaching or just being there at the right time.

Tomorrows plan for my death. I am running the Wild West Relay for the 3rd year. I have hardly covered any miles for training this year due to surgeries, and foot problems. I am now again a fat out of shape nerd that is going to attempt to run beside a highway with very little median, uphill at 5200 feet and now I see it is suppose to be pushing 100 degrees when I run my 6.5 miles. So if the traffic doesn’t do me in on the highway the heat will.

I will update you all on the Race and how we faired on Monday as a team. Also I would like to say to Eddie have that Beer ready for me when I get to Steamboat I need the liquid after that kind of heat.

Dying

Hmmm I found this to be a very intriguing article especially since I been thinking about my life and what needs to be changed and worked on for the 2nd half of my life. Although reading this makes me wonder if it all matters? I see a couple of these as possibilities and that scares me a bit.

Happy 13th Birthday to my Daughter

I have a huge story coming that will actually be from my daughter about the trip she recently took. I will write up a small clip and then when she has all her writing typed up I will submit her words and journal of her vacation.

For today though I would like to wish her a VERY HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY!!!!! I love this little rug rat even as she moves into her teenage years. :)

Mosquito Pass (I am an Idiot)

This last weekend went camping with the family up in an area called Fairplay. The first night up there the kids and I were working to start a fire. We put out the wood in the fire circle, sprinkled a little fuel on the wood and lit it. Instant fire. Woohoo. It is at this point the slightly wet wood didn’t stay lit and was just about out.

This is where the mistake happened. I added a bit more fuel to a fire that was not out. The fire leapt up to the can I was holding and caught it on fire. I am now standing in a forest with a burring gas can in my hand. I dropped the can which now spilled out some more fuel causing more fire outside the fire ring. I now have multiple fires in the middle of the forest and I am thinking I am either going to die or go to jail. By the way water does not put out gas fires.

It is then that my son at least kicked the gas can into the fire pit. We then managed the small outside fires getting them to burn out and kill them with a shovel. Now we have a half filled gas can in a fire pit about to explode. At least it was now a smaller fire and I was able to reach in blow out the gas can and remove the now melted container. Fires out everyone lived. I slapped myself for the mistake and the rest of the trip went better.

On Saturday we tried to drive over Mosquito pass only to find it was still closed with WAY too much snow. But we did get to camp and have a good time.

I also on Saturday did a 5 mile run. I ran out on a road 2.5 miles climbing 500 feet to an elevation of 11,000 and back in under 50 minutes. YEP a long hard no oxygen run there is nothing better to make one wish they had lungs.

Cubed's Bike

I just got to go for a ride on Cubed’s new bike. It is a really nice mountain bike with small tires. It rode really nice and made me think I want that nicer bike myself. I was amazed at how smooth a new bike rides over a bike like I have that is over 20 years old. I took the picture to show you the water bottle he has on it. Also as I rode by a construction site I waved, rung his little bike bell he has on the handle bars and pointed to my pink and green water bottle. All I needed was some skittles to fulfill my dream.

I FOUND THE ANSWER

HA - you thought I found the answer to life. NOPE but here is the answer to the question what is it. It is a Tooth brush holder. You have to admit makes you wonder.

Well I guess I am coming back a bit in my running. I just finished running 10.5 miles last night at 6pm to turn around with no food and run another 6 miles this morning at 6am. That is 16.5 miles in 13 hours. The gas in the tank was low but I think by completing that I am ready for my WWR Race and able to pull out the 16 miles over 24 hours it will require of me. Now if I could just turn on some speed.
