Buggy Time

I have been part of the blogging world and not ready to give it up. Thus I will continue here or be striked on until I continue.

Happy Thanksgiving

Sorry just been really busy with work and side work that I do that not taken much time to get on writing in my blog.

Just a note here, see Gator a nice comment and a few questions gets me responding faster than a strike. Bunny took the right tactic.

When I was around the church it was late and I didn’t even try to get in it. I think you can during some more normal hours. I thought it was cool though.

The running has been going pretty good. I have been slowly bumping up the distances lately and getting around 25 miles a week. I would like to get that above 30 miles a week, but with the cold weather it just gets tougher. I have to do a lot of my running time now around the noon hour to try and keep from freezing. I ran the local Turkey Trot on Thursday morning. It is a 4 mile run and I did it in 29:35 so held a 7:23 minute mile pace which I was happy with. I have been really slow ever since the marathon so to start getting some speed back is good. I been thinking of starting up some speed work again and if all goes well I might do it tomorrow to begin working my speed again a bit more seriously.

Thanksgiving was good as always as we went to my parents for a big fully dressed dinner. I carved the turkey which is a job I actually like to do. My mom makes a great tender moist turkey. She soaks the turkey for 24 hours in whiskey which makes it moist and mmmm mmmm good.

Today is my sister’s birthday. We ended up driving to Denver for dinner. We went to this one place and were seated. I asked for a Mojito to drink and the waitress was kind of cold and snapped that she couldn’t because they didn’t have mint. She then snapped at my sister and just was not a good start. Little did she know we would have been a big order, but instead we got appetizers and then left which is sad for her. The bill for apps and drinks was $100 so think what it could have been to her.

We then went shopping and the drove to this other place for dinner. It was a fine dining wonderful steak house. I had this New York Strip that was like eating butter. The service here was they did everything. They even cleaned the bread crumbs from the table before serving you dinner. The menu was all explained to us with parts of the food on a tray at the table. I picked the piece of meat I wanted. It was wonderful. I posted a picture of the different wines and drinks and that was just part of them.
